Standing Up For Guernsey's Environment are campaigning to get support for amendments put forward by Deputy Barry Brehaut to be included in the Policy and Resource Plan, which sets out where the island should be in 20 years' time.

The group, which is a collective of representatives from La Societe Guernesiaise, RSPB, Guernsey Trees for Life, National Trust, Guernsey Climate Action Network, Guernsey Conservation Volunteers and La Societe Conservation Herd, is also calling for the public to contact their deputies and appeal for them to support the amendments.

The group has had a meeting with Deputy Brehaut and Deputy Gavin St Pier and said it was positive.

The States is due to debate the plan on Tuesday.
