Weekend tech event DigitalAce pulls in islanders of all ages

DIGITALACE has become so successful attempts will be made to emulate it in the UK, the online safety manager for the South West Grid for Learning has said.

Saturday's technology event provided guidance on online safety and security plus highlighted the main areas digital technology has touched our lives in a positive way.

There were 400 people through the Beau Sejour doors in less than an hour after opening.

Ken Corish, who is also online safety manager for UK Safer Internet Centre, said it wanted to emulate Guernsey's DigitalAce for similar events in the UK.

'This is the seventh time I've been here and seen it grow to this amazing event we see today.'
