GFC draw and Bels win Priaulx League title

Published

Guernsey FC edged another point closer to a Ryman South play-off spot, as they drew 1-1 away from home for the second game in succession, this time at Sittingbourne.

The Green Lions, who were short of defenders and lost another through injury early on in the form of Jacques Isabelle, fell behind to Luke Girt's strike on 31 minutes.

Ross Allen made sure of a point for GFC with his equaliser soon after and they now need a maximum of 13 points from their final five games to secure that top-five position.

Locally, Bels won 3-0 at Vale Rec to retain the Priaulx League title for the first time in their history and become the first side side 2002 to do so.
