Pitschou in five finals

GARY PITSCHOU has reached five GBA island championship finals. One of his victories on semi-final day was in the prestigious Elliot Singles and he will now face Bernie Simon in the final.

Dave Lucas will be in four finals - three with Pitschou - and there will be a new name on the Sandeman's Fours trophy after defending champions Police lost to Locals in their semi-final.

Locals will play Phoenix or Falcons in the final.

Not all of the eight competitions' semi-finals could be played on semi-finals day because the island team was playing at the EBA Centenary tournament in England on the same day.

Outstanding semi-finals will be played at the GBC green next week. Matches will start at 6pm on Tuesday, Thursday and Friday evening. Finals will be played at the Corbet Field on Saturday 16 August.
