JUST two non-GFA sides remain in this season's Fletchersports Guernsey FA Cup. Following the Clubhouse Casuals' 6-0 defeat to Bels on Tuesday evening, Specsavers and Long Port are now the only teams outside the Priaulx League left with the chance of a semi-final spot.

Long Port have already caused an upset in the competition by knocking out Rangers and if Specsavers are to follow suit then Rovers will be their victims.

Boasting one of the largest workforces in the island, the Specsavers football team will be looking to call upon a sizeable crowd for support when they meet the Priaulx strugglers.

'There's quite a few people planning to go. Emails have been sent round so that should round up a few more,' said Specsavers captain Simon Martel.

'Against Last Post there were only a few people on the touchline but at Blanche Pierre Lane in the previous round there were quite a few more.

'The interest has grown the further in the cup we've gone and when people see it's a quarter-final against a Priaulx side and not another Sunday or business league team, that definitely helps.'

For that match itself, Martel expects the fitness of the Priaulx side to be a factor.

'We're expecting to struggle for fitness just as it proved last year when we lost 5-0 to North, but we'd rather be playing Rovers than Bels.

'We've got the likes of Brent Blondel, Tristan Robillliard and Jamie Le Poidevin all with Priaulx experience and all good attacking players, so who knows?'

However, one team which does know how to cause a giant killing is Long Port.

They pulled off arguably the biggest upset in the short history of the competition when they beat Rangers at the Track in September.

They now lock horns with Priaulx League title-chasers North for the second year in a row at the quarter-final stage.

Whereas North are still searching for their first league title since 1992, Long Port have won seven of the last eight Business League crowns.

'They beat us 8-1 last year with a very good young side, but we're playing better and scoring more goals than we were last season,' said Long Port coach Steve Brehaut.

'Adie Le Sauvage and Wayne du Port have been scoring goals all season and Matt Falla is always a threat.

'We've got to make it as difficult as we can for them and make sure we take any chances that come our way.

'We haven't lost this season and the game is at our home pitch, Beau Sejour, so that should hopefully give us an advantage.

'We definitely go into it as underdogs but we're full of confidence and there's no reason we why can't give them a run for their money.'

The remaining quarter-final is an all-Priaulx clash as Vale Rec host the cup holders, St Martin's, at the Corbet Field.
