A RECORD 37 teams have entered this year's FletcherSports Guernsey FA Cup. The preliminary and first round draws will be made live on Channel TV next Monday at 6.15pm.

Kelvin Seeds, the GFA's new director of Cups, Leagues and Grounds, said that the competition continued to go from strength to strength.

'With our senior GFA clubs being joined by nearly 30 teams from the Business House League, the Sunday Soccer League and several teams forming and affiliating to the GFA simply to enter, the romance of the FA Cup continues to be as strong and alive in Guernsey as anywhere else.'

Sponsor Terry Ferbrache is impressed too.

'We are delighted at the way it has caught the imagination of the Guernsey public, for both players and spectators, in such a short time,' he said.

'To have a record 37 teams is fantastic,' he added.
