CHRIS HAMON is making sure all Vale Rec's paperwork is in order before his team face North in the C&W Priaulx League tonight. The last time the Grand Fort Road neighbours met, in the Stranger Cup semi-final at the start of the season, Rec came away with a well deserved if surprising 3-0 victory.

In a cruel twist a day later, the game was handed to North when it became clear that Rec had fielded an unregistered player due to an honest oversight.

'We should be confident going into the game after beating them in the Stranger,' said Rec coach Hamon.

'We'll make sure everyone's forms are signed and are in.'

The green-and-yellows are flying high at the moment having notched up another top result on Saturday, this time a 2-1 victory at Sylvans.

Hamon does not have any new injury worries going into the match at Northfield. He also welcomes back Marc Rihoy and Jack Byrne.

Utility player Stuart Bisson could feature as well, having got over a groin problem.

North have had their own injury worries, but they are starting to reduce.

AJ Saunders is back and will probably link up with fellow big striker Simon Tostevin up front. Jon Veron looks set to move back onto the right wing with Dave Rihoy on the other flank.

North's last run-out was in the league against Sylvans a week ago. They lost 3-1.

'We made some bad mistakes against Sylvans,' said Le Prevost.

'We're creating chances but we're taking only one or two a game. We're not taking enough of them.

'They are getting into the right places but they need to put them away more. I hope we get three points tonight.'

In tonight's other Priaulx game, Bels entertain St Martin's at The Track. Both teams are at the opposite pole from each other when it comes to present form.

St Martin's have been this year's surprise package so far, having won all four of their matches to sit top of the table.

Champions Bels on the other hand have been struggling.

Having been tipped to conquer all, the Micky Ogier coached outfit have won once so far this season in the league.

They will be hoping to kick start their title defence in earnest tonight as they welcome back strikers Marc McGrath and Neil Clegg.

Both were unavailable to play against St Peter in the WJ Collins Cup on Saturday due to illness and both were missed as their side went down after extra time and penalties.

St Martin's will be without centre halves Kevin Graham and Sam Rowe due to injury and Richard Herpe, who is off the island.

'There are a few little knocks and bruises,' said Saints boss Colin Fallaize.

'It will be the normal mix and match of our centre halves. Everyone is telling us that we're having a good start but we're doing what I expected.

'There's no pressure on us really. It's the old cliche, we're taking each game as it comes.

'All we can try and do is the best we can.'
