AFTER the euphoria of their amazing 4-3 win over Bels on Saturday, North came back to earth with a dull thud when they drew 2-2 with Vale Rec at Northfield last night. 'Disappointed is an understatement,' said North boss Mick Le Prevost.

'We were rubbish especially after the way we came back on Saturday. That was the worst I've seen them play.

'We weren't at the races. We could have been 3-1 down at half-time.'

Simon Tostevin put North ahead within the first five minutes through an error by Rec keeper Jody Bisson before John Rihoy equalised for Rec 10 minutes later with a real cracker. The visitors went on to take the lead five minutes before half-time through Mark Ogier.

Tostevin equalised for the home side just past the hour mark, again after a Bisson mistake.

North stay at the top of the table by three points from second placed Rec.

'I think we deserved to get the three points,' said Rec's boss Chris Hamon.

'But we've given them two goals through errors. That's football.'
