A CLASSY Danny Felbabel hat-trick fired Sylvans into the Collins Cup final. The 23-year-old's first first-team treble sunk a woeful Vale side at home in the first of the weekend's semis.

After smelling Fletcher-sports FA Cup success, the westerners are hungry for more silverware and now have the chance of winning the Collins for the second time in their history.

But for Chris Hamon's depleted and lacklustre Vale Rec, the only chance they have left of avoiding a bare trophy cabinet at Priaulx level this term is to lift the Rawlinson.

'It was good to get a hat-trick and it's good to be in a final. I haven't been playing well lately so am very pleased but I should have had five though,' admitted Felbabel.

'It was a good team performance and we had to grind it out in the first half but we dominated the second half.'

Coach Martyn de Garis said: 'I'm pleased for Danny - it was clinical finishing. He was quality tonight but I thought the whole team played well - it was a very young Sylvans side. We were hard to break down and their goal came from a diabolical decision from the linesman.

'The FA Cup is the biggest and the best but all cup finals are nice to get in and play in. I'm just happy for the lads they are there,' he said.

'We spent most of the night giving the ball away and trying to win it back,' groaned Hamon.
