ONE of the island's top teenage stars has become the first confirmed transfer on the first day of the summer window. Ben Coulter is leaving Bels to join St Martin's next season.

Word had been going about that the talented young midfielder, who missed most of last season with a torn cruciate ligament, was looking join his half-brother, island keeper Nathan Pattimore, at Saints.

'I just fancied a change and to play with my brother. Because I've been injured for most of the season, it's been frustrating.'

There is plenty of other transfer speculation as the rumour mill winds up.

The next big move could feature island star Jonny Veron.

Just as was the case 12 months ago, Veron has been strongly linked to a move from North to struggling Rangers.

Veron is known to be good mates with a couple of Rangers' lads and has not made it a secret that he was either going to leave North or walk away from football this summer.

North and island team-mate Dave Rihoy is also rumoured to be leaving the champions to join his brothers at Vale Rec.

If losing Coulter was not bad enough, the suggestion that teenage striker Billy Page could be on his way to Sylvans certainly will have Bels stalwarts worried.

Like Coulter (pictured above), he missed most of last season with a long-term injury and was sorely missed. There are whispers that he could be on his way to join his old junior island coach de Garis at Sylvans.

Combative midfielder Matt Drillot could be going the other way. Bels seem confident of signing the combative midfielder who apparently does not see eye to eye with de Garis and was not a main fixture during the past year.

Another player who could be heading out of St Peter's is striker Danny Felbabel. The forward left Bels last season but found himself down the pecking order at Sylvans and he could return to Blanche Pierre Lane, where he played as a junior.
