MICK LE PREVOST is adamant: Dave Rihoy will not be leaving North. On Monday the island star said he was considering moving from the Priaulx champions and that he was going to let coach Le Prevost know within the 48 hours of his decision. At the time he was being linked with both Bels and Vale Rec.

Yesterday, Le Prevost said that he had spoken to the winger who has been labelled as the best player in the Channel Islands and said: 'He's not going anywhere.

'Everything has been blown out of all proportion. We spoke about it but we had spoken about it a while a go as well.

'He doesn't want to leave North.'

'I wasn't worried about it any way and I laughed when I read about it in the paper,' he said.

'I respect Dave as a person and as a footballer. He's a Northerner through and through and he's working with a good group of players.'

Rihoy was unable to be contacted yesterday.

Meanwhile, Le Prevost called Jon Veron's departure for Rangers 'a disappointment'.

'We had a good chat and I wish him all the best. If he ever wanted to come back he's welcome.'

But one other player who might not feature in the chocolate and blue strip next year is Stuart Polson, who is considering retiring. The veteran centre back said that he is waiting until July before he makes his decision.
