WORCESTERSHIRE will be returning to Guernsey for the 2008 Twenty20+ Challenge after a comfortable 50-run win over Glamorgan over lunchtime at the KGV. Opener Stephen Moore and forrmer England star Graeme Hick set up the Royals for their success, sharing a big third-wicket stand which blossomed thanks to the inability of young Tom Maynard to catch the ball.

The Welshman, son of former county great Matthew, twice spilled a catch in the deep to reprieve Hick who punished the Dragons with some big hits into the tall poplars behind the bowlers.

It was an impressive sight, but no more so than Moore, who stayed all 20 overs to finish undefeated on 93.

The event's beneficiary, Vikram Solanki, also showed strokes around the wicket with a quick 43 and a total of 219 for three was always likely to be out of the Welsh county's reach.

Maynard went some way to make up for his costly mistakes with an innings top score of 47.
