THE Ipes Mini Tennis Championships proved to be an excellent demonstration of 'total tennis'.
The tournament at the Guernsey Tennis Club was, once again, a big success and impressed those watching, particularly coach and organiser Jo Robinson. 'By playing the junior tennis on a reduced size court and slower balls the junior competitors were able to display "total tennis",' she said.
'Players were able to employ tactics and shots they could not consider on a full court and this has to be a great way for young players to develop their shots and understanding of the tactics of the game.'
