HEATHER WATSON heads off to the All-England Club this weekend as a champion and in the mood to beat anyone at Junior Wimbledon.

Yesterday lunchtime at Roehampton the Guernsey girl teamed up with Pole Magda Linette and shocked the top seeds to win the doubles title at the AEGON International Junior Championship.

The Guernsey girl hit the winner to add to her joy.

'We had a great matchpoint and I finished it with a backhand drop volley,' she said. 'We started strong and won the first, but lost the second on one break of service.'

Previously, she had partnered Hungarian Babos to the girls doubles final at the French Open.

But she reckoned the new match with Linette is working out even better.

'We complement each other really well. She's such a nice girl and we get along well. 'I think we click – we are so similar and understand each other.'
