HEATHER WATSON bounced back from her girls' singles defeat with a first round doubles win at Wimbledon.
Watson, the British junior number two, and Polish partner Magda Linette have high hopes of success at the All England Club.
And if Watson is successful, she'll be the first British winner of the event since 1994.
However, the 17-year old needed to fight to advance against Russia's Polina Leykina and Anna Arina Marenko.
Watson and Linette raced through the first set in just 26 minutes but then surrendered the next almost as quickly, scarring their stats with a run of double faults.
But they bounced back in style to win the decider, securing a 6-1, 2-6, 6-3 victory
'It was superb to get the win after the disappointment of my singles,' said Watson.
