The 17-year-old Guernsey-born star got past Liga Dekmeijere in the first round of the qualifiers on Sunday at the exclusive Oak Knoll Country Club.
And last evening she made it two wins in 24 hours with a 6-1, 6-4 victory over Shikha Uberoi to qualify for the main event.
The 26-year-old Latvian she defeated is ranked 823 in the world and Watson had few problems overcoming her, winning 6-1, 6-1.
Uberoi of India promised to be more difficult, however.
Uberoi celebrates her 27th birthday next month and although 570th in the world rankings she was once as high as 122.
