WITH Laura Robson losing, Heather Watson is the only Briton through to the last 16 of the ITF Tour event in Jackson, Mississippi.

After coming through three rounds of qualifying, Watson yesterday beat the No. 8 seed from Bolivia, Maria-Fernanda Alvarez-Teran 6-2, 4-6, 6-3, a player ranked nearly 200 places higher in the world rankings.
Watson now plays Austria's Melanie Klaffner for a place in the quarter-finals.
Klaffner is ranked 230 compared to Watson's 416.
