Three records fall in just two races

MORE island records were broken in the swimming yesterday morning.

The team smashed the old record by nearly seven seconds in the 4x200m freestyle, finishing in a time of 7-50.75.

However, it was not quick enough for the team, comprising Ian Powell, Ian Hubert, Ben Lowndes and Tom Hollingsworth, to qualify for the final.

Powell's lead out time in the relay was also an island record.
