TOM HOLLINGWORTH and Victoria Parfit clocked the fastest times of the day in the 200m individual medley event of the Specsavers Series, the former breaking his own record in the process.

Hollingsworth (pictured) looked strong as he set a new championship best-time in the event staged by the Beau Sejour Barracudas Swimming Club, touching in 2-08.42 and breaking the record of 2-10.94 that he set in 2004.

There was a close finish in the boys 14/15 age group with Oliver Nightingale just taking the honours from Luke Winberg in 2-23.85. The girl's title in the same age group went to Lotte Parfit in 3-38.80.

Lotte's brother Harry was not to be outdone by his older sister, taking the title in the boys 12/13 age group improving on his personal best by nearly seven seconds to clock 2-35.92.
