The 10-time British champion (pictured) won the event as expected, dropping only four points on the second day, after dropping 18 on Saturday and giving some of the Jersey riders a sniff.
Caesarean Adam Le Cheminant finished second in the expert class, having led Saunders in the early stages of day one, while his fellow islander, Tom Muller, finished third.
Going into the event, it looked like Guernsey's best hope would be Tom Scott, but he was forced to retire during the second day after mechanical issues, with his bike having struggled throughout the weekend.
