FIVE championship records were set over 50m in the first event in a new season of the Specsavers Series staged by the Beau Sejour Barracudas Swimming Club.

The fastest times of the day came from Commonwealth Games swimmer Tom Hollingsworth (pictured).

He broke Matthew Robert's breaststroke record set back in 2004 by more than a second with 30.70.

In the 50m freestyle he swum a personal best 24.29 and claimed an even older record belonging to Sean Rowe-Hagans which was set in 1999.
