Course record holder among sprint entries

THE big names will all be present as the Guernsey Kart and Motor Club start a new sprint season this afternoon.

And today's Vazon event, starting at 2pm, could be the start of a record-breaking year, according to club president Peter Jory.

'Hopefully this will be the best year yet,' he said.

'After a long break, it is now really just a case of getting rid of the cobwebs and getting out there again.

'With a bit of luck, it will be a very quick afternoon and a few records broken with it.'
