George endures a miserable weekend

FOR Guernsey driver John George, the Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship meeting at Oulton Park really was one to forget as the weekend went from bad to worse.
After being given a weight reduction for running non-turbo cars just two days prior to the event, the first problem was how to get this weight out of the GoMobileUK.com with Tech-Speed Motorsport cars.
With only a few parts available, they first used them on the already heavier car of teammate Paul O'Neill and so George went into the weekend unable to benefit from the reduction.
Then, after a hard day of car set-up changes, the team felt they had a really competitive balance only to have the engine develop a misfire during qualifying to end their session early.
