ANDY PRIAULX will participate in his second 24 Hours of Le Mans race today without a scratch, despite a heavy accident on Thursday in qualifying.
The Guernseyman had posted the BMW No. 56 car's fastest lap of 3-58.426 in Wednesday's first qualifying session, but the triple world touring car champion and his teammates were forced to sit out the third and final session after Priaulx's unfortunate crash near the end of the second session, which he could do little about.
'I arrived and didn't know there was anything wrong with the corner' he said.
'There were no flags and just a sea of gravel on the track, which meant one or more cars had already gone off in front of me. However, it is a long race and we now need to win it.'
