ANDY PRIAULX made it to the podium in one of the most dramatic and closely fought Le Mans 24 Hours for many years.

He shared third place in the GTE class in the BMW M3 GT with teammates Dirk Muller, from Germany, and America's Joey Hand.

While Audi and Peugeot were fighting for overall positions, the two Team BMW Motorsport cars were battling hard with Chevrolet, Ferrari and Porsche for the top three honours in the GTE class.

A very happy Priaulx said soon after the flag dropped at 3pm French time: 'The aim was to finish this race and that was achieved. The podium was something we desperately wanted, so this finish is pretty special for all of us.'
