TIM TORODE may have missed out on a top-12 run-off but his visit to Bouley Bay was well worthwhile.
The Mallock driver twice beat his sports libre up to 1400cc class record and came away with a 42.82, a 36-hundredths improvement on his May performance on the Jersey hill.
In doing so he finished ahead of the Le Messurier brothers, the best of which was Paul with a fine 43.23.
Karl Marshall and John Dunne also brought home class records.
