BRUISED, battered and still in a state of shock, Nigel Ozanne has admitted he might call it a day as far as motor racing is concerned.

Ozanne, 45, survived the biggest crash on the Vazon sands in years on Saturday, but spent a second night in the PEH as he recovers from his third smash in the space of a month.

'I need to talk to myself and decide what I do,' said the man who has been inundated with dozens of phone calls wishing him well and offering to repair his badly damaged Honda Blackbird 1100 for free.

Admitting he is getting a bit tired of crashes – he hit a tree at 80mph at the Bouley Bay 'National' last month and then smashed up the same Mallock sports libre class racing car two days later when aquaplaning on the top straight of Le Val des Terres – Ozanne said he had to give serious thought about continuing in a sport in which he has competed since the age of 18.
