SEASICK sailors were rescued by Alderney's lifeboat in rough seas.
The Roy Barker I set out at 7.45pm on Thursday to help the men, whose 12-metre yacht had suffered engine problems 23 miles north-west of the island. Three hours later, both vessels were secure in Braye Harbour.
Experienced sailor Richard Loseby, 66, and brother-in-law John Carnt, 56, had been sailing to Poole after boarding Chichester-registered Astazou in St Peter Port.
Retired project manager Mr Loseby, from Poole, said the pair hadn't eaten all day.
