AMHERST Primary School students swept the board at this year's Guernsey Photography Festival schools competition – winning first, second and third prizes.

As part of the annual photography festival, sponsored by Generali Worldwide and PPF Partners, Year 4 pupils took part in the competition under the theme of identity.

After receiving a workshop from the festival's director and photographer Jean-Christophe Godet, students submitted their own images and scooped the top prizes individually, as well as winning a camcorder for the school.

Presenting them along with Generali Worldwide head Tim Ward was Carl Symes, who was impressed with the high standard.
