Sark fills as festival tickets go on sale

FOLK music fans have been advised to book early if they want to attend Sark's festival next year, as accommodation at hotels and a campsite is getting scarce.

Tickets for the event, which runs from 29 June to 1 July, went on sale yesterday with 200 selling in just three hours.

Organiser Simon Harvey said he was confident that the remaining 80% of tickets would be sold well before the festival.

'Today has been quite crazy,' he said.

'Last year, the tickets sold out quite quickly and I think people have realised they need to book early.'
