FURIOUS parents who expected their children to attend La Houguette Primary School in September have accused the Education Department of misleading them.

The Guernsey Press spoke to more than 10 angry parents yesterday, who all said they were devastated to learn the school would be having only one reception class next year.

Only three of the parents were prepared to have their names published for fear of their criticisms negatively impacting their child.

They claimed that none of them had been given confirmation that their child's place at the school was secure, despite the department's admissions policy stating they should have been told by 30 March.
