Is the chicken killer a buzzard?

As the search continues for a terrier that is believed to be have turned feral and be responsible for the killing of several chickens in the Forest area, a contributor to This is Guernsey thinks that another kind of animal may be to blame.

The anonymous contributor said he was driving when he saw what looked like an eagle fly in front of his vehicle.

He got out and recorded a few seconds of the bird on his iPad.

He's since been told that he had filmed a buzzard, and that there are several of the birds in the island.

So could this be what is killing chickens, and not Slygo the dog?
