BUS users accept last month's 11,000 drop in passenger numbers was a one-off, their representative body has said.

However, Bus Users Group public relations officer Iain Timms, pictured, said the jury was still out on whether CT Plus's new timetable, introduced in May, will turn out to be a success.

'We're watching and waiting with open minds,' he said.

'However, we have serious concerns about the methods used to assess passenger destinations to form the new routes,' he said.

CT Plus claimed that about 7,000 lost passenger journeys were attributable to the one-day driver strike last month.
