FERRY passengers are facing more travel disruption in the lead-up to Christmas, after Condor announced that upgrade work to the conventional ferries did not go ahead as expected during recent dry docks.

It means the Commodore Clipper will be out of action again when it goes into dock from 4 November and will not be back in service until 14 December.

The dates when the Commodore Goodwill will be out of action are yet to be confirmed.

Both ferries were due to have pollution-reducing scrubbers fitted during their September and October dry docks, but Condor blamed 'problems with the supply of parts' for the upgrade not going ahead as scheduled.
