Drinking supply safe but Guernsey Water will keep checking streams

ALL figures for glyphosate sampling in Guernsey streams were finally released yesterday, 29 Januarythree months after the tests were performed in October.

Guernsey Water's findings showed that at the time the 20 streams were tested,

11 contained more glyphosate than the UK compliance standard for treated water.

However, after the untreated water had passed through treatment facilities, no glyphosate was detected.

Guernsey Water said drinking water was safe but it would continue to check the levels found in streams.
