High praise in school report for La Mare
CELEBRATION was in the air at La Mare de Carteret High School yesterday after its validation report piled praise upon it.

Last inspected in 2012 – when the school came in for damning criticism about being sub-standard in many areas – the new report showed how far the school had come.
Students are eager to learn, teachers are of a high standard and the senior leadership team determined to drive it forward, the report said.
At an assembly announcing the outcome of the validation, head teacher Vicky Godley said how proud she was of the efforts made to ensure such a report was possible.
