An operations report for 2015/2016, which will be discussed at Chief Pleas next month, shows it has been a 'successful and productive year for the company'.

It has made a number of changes in line with recommendations made in a Chief Pleas review of the company, carried out by Jan Milner.

The trading profit, which is yet to be audited, is against a budget of £52,000.

The company has seen an increase in passengers carried, passenger revenues and cargo tonnage and managing director Paul Garlick said the profit had been made without making any changes to fares or freight rates.

'We're very proud of it,' he said. 'It's a good solid footing to go forward on.'
