The incident involving G-COBO happened at about 10am yesterday at Manchester Airport, just as the aircraft was preparing to depart for Guernsey.

‘The incident is being looked into by the airport authorities and engineers will assess the extent of the damage to the wing of the aircraft,’ an Aurigny spokesman said.

The damage was only minor and the aircraft returned to Guernsey later in the day.
