Slight increase in complaints made against MSG last year
THE Medical Specialist Group received 94 complaints last year.
As part of the company’s negotiations for its new contract with Health & Social Care, a new complaints policy has been developed.
Its annual review showed the total number of complaints was up from 81 in 2016. The 2017 figure represented approximately 0.1% of total patient interactions.
‘The views of patients and their families about their experiences are welcomed, taken seriously and used to bring about change,’ the review said.
‘Any complaint is seen as an opportunity to improve the quality of services and to learn lessons from events that have occurred in the past.
‘We strive to respond to all complaints within 20 days, although in complex cases this may not always be possible.’
