A feedback survey has been launched by EC Events, a sister company to the Guernsey Press, which has been appointed by Education, Sport & Culture as the new event management team to take over the running of the Guernsey Liberation Day celebrations for the next three years. The survey can be completed by clicking here.

The company has begun work on the 2019 celebrations, laying the foundations for big plans to celebrate the 75th anniversary in 2020.

‘With research into how islanders feel about the event being a big part of the work undertaken this year, a list of questions has been compiled,’ said a spokesman.

The survey, left, can be filled out and posted in the special Liberation posting boxes, which will be available at:

  • Beau Sejour Leisure Centre

  • Guernsey Press head office

  • Co-op Locale the Market, Market Buildings, St Peter Port

  • Co-op Locale, Vazon

  • Co-op Locale Royal Terrace

  • Co-op Locale Longstore

  • Co-op Grande Marche, St Martin’s

  • Co-op Grande Marche, St Sampson’s

Islanders can also fill out the survey online at www.liberationday.gg.

‘These celebrations are about the island of Guernsey and the organisers would like to include the islanders in the plans for the day as much as possible,’ the spokesman added.

The deadline for survey submissions is Sunday 16 December 2018.
