The 29-year-old was last seen on Saturday 11 January in the Fort Road area.

Guernsey Police confirmed that officers had been speaking to the public around Fort Road on Saturday – a week after Mr Bourgaize disappeared – and showing them Mr Bourgaize’s photograph.

‘Other lines of enquiry were also followed up,’ a spokesman said.

‘Unfortunately, despite all these efforts, there has been no further sighting of Matthew.’

CCTV from between Ville au Roi and through the lanes to Croutes Havilland, St Peter Port, shows Mr Bourgaize’s last known movements. That was recorded between 2.50pm and 3.20pm on Saturday 11 January.

The police are asking people living in the area of Fort Road to check any outbuildings and isolated areas on their private land.

Officers have searched relevant locations and been in contact with Matthew’s friends and family.

A drone, Air Search and the Sea Fisheries Rib were also used in search efforts.
