Second person arrested for memorial wreath vandalism and CCTV sought

A SECOND person has been arrested in connection with the destruction of the War Memorial wreath.

Yesterday [11 May 2020] Guernsey Police announced a 19-year-old male was arrested on Sunday evening in connection with the crime.

Now, a 24-year-old female has also been arrested.

Both have been released on bail as CCTV footage is reviewed.

Guernsey Police said: 'As part of that, would any business or individual with CCTV along Rue Du Manoir or Lefebvre Street, St Peter Port, please contact the Investigation Suport Unit on 725111 and ask to speak to either PC Hannah Eulenkamp, Rebecca Farnon or Laura Furby.'
