In the latest update of Covid figures in the Bailiwick, the States confirmed that no new cases were found in the last day.

The same was said on Sunday's update about cases identified on Saturday.

With three recoveries on Saturday and another three yesterday, the number of active cases has dropped to 15.

On Saturday, director of Public Health Dr Nicola Brink said the results were 'so far so good'.

Reminding islanders that now was not the time to become complacent, she wanted to celebrate good days and thanked the public for working with the authorities.

'Together we can do this,' she said at the end of a short video update.

A total of 66,822 Covid samples have now been taken in the Bailiwick since the beginning of the pandemic.

210 results are still pending.

More than 500 cases of the virus have been confirmed in the Bailiwick since 22 January and there has been one death.

At 1pm today a press conference will take place where an announcement on the re-opening of schools is expected.

Tomorrow [Tuesday], the CCA is due to meet and decide when Guernsey will move to Stage 2 of the exit from lockdown, which will allow for gatherings of up to 30 people indoors and outside.

Public facing businesses [except for nightclubs] will also be able to operate in Stage 2, subject to following Public Health guidance, and restaurants, pubs, hotels and other food establishments will be able to resume table service.
