The sale was completed last week, with the St Martin’s hotel being sold by Bella Luce Holdings Ltd to Green Giant Ltd.

An application made by equity firm Green Giant Ltd was granted planning permission at the end of August, with the intention of conducting a complete overhaul of the site.

The hotel closed its doors at the end of September in preparation for the significant redevelopment,

The historic farmhouse will be kept, but the modern additions around it will be demolished to make way for luxury accommodation for the higher end of the tourist market. It was proposed that the establishment would have 14 bedrooms and a modern restaurant, where guests will have full view of the kitchen, and large spaces for business conferences and events.

The Wheadon family, who formerly owned the property, put it on the market for £3.2m. back in 2020.
