The charity moved from its shop at the former Quayside site on Northside to its new premises last week.

‘We have moved across St Sampson’s Harbour and our new shop is now open by the Weighbridge clock tower,’ Mr Meader said.

The new facility offers 6,000sq. ft of space, allowing Go to increase the number of trainees it takes on as part of its training programme.

The programme allows people with learning disabilities and difficulties, mental health issues and ex-offenders gain the skills needed for employment.

The charity aims to give opportunities to people from a diverse range of backgrounds and provide them with the support and training to be able to manage their lives and enter mainstream employment markets.

The retail and recycling services at the shop help the charity fund the work it does.

‘People have been so supportive of the new site,’ said Mr Meader.

As well as the retail area, the new site also has an IT area and a bicycle and furniture refurbishment area.

‘We really have the facilities now to enhance people’s shopping experience,’ said Mr Meader.
