Inmarsat’s existing satellite communication infrastructure will work with cellular data provided by JT, enabling Inmarsat’s customers to access a global connectivity network from a single provider.

The link-up has first been tested in Rwanda, where a satellite-enabled, city-wide IoT network uses JT’s M2M Sim cards within base stations to create the connectivity gateways required for IoT applications.
