Digital agency’s new division ready to take on the challenge posed by GDPR

A NEW arm of design and digital agency TPA is taking an innovative approach to the challenges posed by the new General Data Protection Regulation law which comes into force next spring.

Sarah Levy, a Guernsey-born and educated e-learning specialist, has returned to the island to lead the project.

It has formed TPE, an e-learning division of the business, which has hand-picked GDPR experts to create a product which can be used to train staff.

Director Tony Tostevin said the impact of GDPR on business could be far-reaching, not least with the threat of punitive fines for breaches of the new law.

And all staff in local businesses will need to become familiar with it. Mr Tostevin said that e-learning was the perfect medium for getting a lot of employees up to speed quickly.

Sarah Levy, a Guernsey-born and educated e-learning specialist, has returned to the island to lead the project. She has almost 20 years’ experience designing digital training products for clients such as Siemens, DHL, Thomson Reuters, BT and O2, while working as an e-learning consultant for Accenture and for other leading providers.

‘Modern digital training has seen a significant move away from passive learning – reading text and clicking the next button to continue – to something highly engaging, contextualised and interactive, far more like a website,’ she said.
