Total sales grew by 10% to £48.5m., and were up by 6% on a like-for-like basis, ahead of the garden centre industry generally, although the group’s 17 UK centres performed better than the two in the Channel Islands.

UK sales were up 11%, while Le Friquet and St Peter in Jersey were up by just 3%, with the Jersey store the stronger of the two following a recent refurbishment.

Pre-tax profits were up by 20% at £4.7m. and earnings per share rose by 15%.
