TISE names new regulatory arm chairman

THE International Stock Exchange has announced Charlie Geffen as the new chairman of its regulatory arm.

Mr Geffen will combine his role on the International Stock Exchange Authority Ltd with existing business interests. He was previously at the law firm Ashurst for 32 years and latterly, at the US law firm Gibson, Dunn & Cutcher.

Mr Geffen has now stepped back from partnership to a senior adviser role at Gibson Dunn. He is also a trustee of the Institute of Cancer Research and a member of council at Surrey University.

Jon Moulton, chairman of TISEA’s parent company, the International Stock Exchange Group Ltd, said: ‘I am delighted to announce Charlie as the chairman of TISEA. He has significant legal experience across a range of different facets of the corporate environment and he has demonstrated strong leadership during his time in senior positions at two major international law firms.

‘We are looking forward to Charlie bringing this expertise to the board of TISEA.’

Mr Moulton also paid tribute to Mark Tubby who has stepped down as chairman of TISEA after six years in the role.
