Nominated by friend of 20 years Amanda Benwell, who went to school with Tracey and Michelle, she said they do anything to help out anybody, often putting everybody else before themselves.

‘Tracey Cordingley, nee Torode, Michelle, their mum Janet and gran Brenda Bougourd are constantly working their socks off to help people out with different charities,’ she said.

‘You will always find them shaking a bucket or selling raffle tickets or organising a charity event of some kind to raise funds.

‘Granny Brenda, who is 89, will spend hours and hours throughout the year wrapping up shoe boxes, and mum Janet will spend hours and hours throughout the year shopping for items to fill them, then they will all get together and spend days filling each one ready to send away. I think that they average around 250-plus a year, and are always trying to beat the target from the year before.

‘If there is a charity walk on, or for Michelle a run, you can guarantee that they are there, always with a smile and encouragement for others.

‘These four special ladies are always happy, positive and nothing is ever too much trouble. I am honoured to know them.’
